Earth Day Festival 2012

 The world celebrated the Earth Day Festival 2012 last April 22, 2012 wherein several booths from different environmental NGOs gathered in CCP grounds. The celebration was actually a two-day program from April 21-22. There was also a Fun Run for the family and other programs.

We were fortunate to be part of the team who planned and organized our booth. We had games for children that will make them environmentally aware of the changes happening in our planet.

Meet the friendly Mr. Kevin Spencer from Greenpeace San Diego

Hahaha! We were tasked to "entertain" Mr. Spencer. He asked us to accompany him in eating Filipino food. Inalok ko siyang kumain ng ISAW pero ang sabi niya, kakain lang daw siya, kapag kumain din daw ako. Hahahahha! Ayun, napakain ako ng isaw ng wala sa oras. Pero masarap kasi barbecued isaw siya. :)

Well, my masterpiece, Wind turbine operated by those tiny solar panels

Ehem! Pagkatapos ng ilang linggong pagdurusa. Natapos ko na din ang aking Scale Model. Dyaraaaaaan! Isa iyang Wind Turbine na napapagana ng dalawang maliit na Solar Panels. Kapag nakatapat sa araw, umiikot yung wind turbine. Hooray! Part ito ng exhibit namin sa booth.

I really enjoyed the festival. It was indeed a fun experience with the nature.
